A template to print, then news only when it's worth your time.
Making a slab-built cup becomes simple when you start with a good template. Instead of calculating the circumference and guessing the fired size, print a full-size pattern, lay it on your slab, cut, and build.
What the template includes
The developed wall: the strip you roll to form the body.
The base: the circular bottom piece.
The handle profile: at the correct length.
Everything is at a 1:1 scale, with a 100 mm control marker to check your print.
Why a template makes all the difference
Clay shrinks during firing. The template compensates for shrinkage and slab thickness, so your cup reaches the right finished size first time.

Printing without errors
Print at 100% — never “fit to page” — then measure the control square. If it is exactly 100 mm, your scale is correct.
