Where the tool came from
I’m a product designer and hobby potter [[for X years / at this studio]]. The real problem is time. When I finally sit down, I don’t want to spend 40 minutes drawing templates before touching clay. Building by eye led to cups that came out too small and lids that didn’t close. So I made a fast, simple tool: you enter finished dimensions, it handles shrinkage and thickness, and gives you a printable template. The point is simple: get your hands into clay sooner.
A word on AI, plainly
I know this subject can worry the community. So, plainly: the logic behind the tool — shrinkage and flat developments — comes from the studio and my own mistakes. AI helped me code the idea faster. The craft itself is ceramics. No artist’s work is used or generated: the tool calculates geometry; it does not create in your place.
